Grape leaf green worm #871628

Noticed curled young grape leaf. Found several on an aged vine. A small green worm inside the leaf. Feeds on the leaf not the veins. What is it?

Hi Monica,

My best guess is that this is the larvae of the grape plume moth. They are not usually a serious threat to grapes or vineyards.

This website has photos of the developing insect, and at one point the caterpillar resembles the photo you sent.
