My daisies are being attacked by something . Can you tell me what is causing this to happen to the leaves. the daisies have been here for many years and I've never seen this and would like to treat them. I have attached photos. These plants are located in Grand rapids, hg

This is 4 lined plant bug damage. These herbivores are generalists, feeding on herbs, ornamentals, and weeds. Though it doesn't look great, it won't affect the longevity of the plants. Insecticides aren't needed for plant protection but if you choose to protect other plants use an insecticidal soap or pyrethrins on days when temperatures are below 90 F. Insecticide use will not cause the spots to go away, as these result from the insect feeding.
