New coloration in the last few days. Not sure (for sure) what it is. #871515

Asked June 04, 2024, 12:12 PM EDT

Given the amount of rain we’ve had over the last few weeks, I suspect this may be fungi growth; but, … not sure. It’s in the grass and affecting our Peonies, Day Lilies. Thoughts I on what I should do to save this situation? Thanks, Richard Carter Lakeville, MN

Expert Response

That is Powdery Mildew on your peony.  https://extension.umn.edu/plant-diseases/powdery-mildew-flower-garden    It is possibly the same on your grass.  Try cutting your grass and allowing it some air to see if it helps.  Otherwise, try these suggestions:

Powdery Mildew - Turf (msu.edu)
