Help for a Globe Blue Spruce #871364

Hello. My Globe Blue Spruce has been doing great for several years. This year it is losing needles and looking for sickly. Please help her. She is such a beauty!

I’m going to refer your question to a tree expert, but in the meantime, could you attach a couple more pictures maybe not so close up? The photo attached is a bit blurry on our end.

Hello,
It looks like the blue spruce may be suffering from needlecast, a fungal disease of the needles. This can occur when moist conditions occur in and around the bush. You can read about needlecast in the article at the link below.

Best course of action is to spray the new growth each year with a fungicide. The article mentions a few that will work. Be sure to spray the new tips as they are elongating to protect them from the fungus. You can still spray the new growth this year with the products mentioned in the article. Be sure to read and follow label directions.
