I’ve discovered some of my lily plants (both oriental and asiatic) have the red lily beetle. I’ve read that systemic treatment is best. Is this true? If yes, what product is recommended. What other products work that are not systemic? In the meantime I am checking my plants daily now to remove the beetle, larvae, etc. Thank you.

None of the following web sites mention a systemic control for this insect. Several contact insecticides may be used as well as physically knocking the beetles into a pail of soapy water to drown. We cannot recommend specific products by brand names. Several chemical products are mentioned by generic names in these pages.
