Which fire-resistant trees grow the fastest? #871340

Of the five native trees that your Facebook account posted as being fire-resistant, which grows the fastest? How fast do each of them grow? Quaking aspen, white oak, pacific dogwood, red alder, and cascara. Thank you for your time and for all you do!

The trees that grow the fastest are the ones that don't tolerate shade. Red alder grows about three feet a year for the first 15 years then slows down. Quaking aspen grows about 2 feet a year. Dogwood and cascara have a slightly slower growth rate 1-2 feet a year and white oak is the slowest at a foot a year.
