What are these squishy black round things on my arborvitae? my “picture this “app states it’s spotless ladybugs , do you agree? is treatment necessary, if so, what would you recommend?
My arborvitae has recently been diagnosed with a fungal disease. I have cut out all the diseased parts and plan on spraying with Propiconazole or Azoxystrobin the end of this week. Do you prefer one over the other?

I think this is more likely to be early scale. https://arbor-experts.com/scale-insects-in-southwest-ohio-description-damage-treatment/
I would use Neemoil without any other pesticide mixed in.
