I suggest starting with a soil sample of both the front and back yard. Here is a publication that explains how to get good samples - Soil Testing, The Right First Step Toward Proper Care of Your Lawn. I would submit a sample representing the front yard and one for the back based on the procedures found in the publication. For additional management tips please review our fact sheet Lawn Management in Oklahoma. Additional fact sheets that cover care of lawns can be found on our publication web site - https://extension.okstate.edu/fact-sheets/.
Your soil samples can be turned into the Tulsa County OSU Extension Center for submission to the soils lab and for assistance in interpreting the analysis. They can also provide additional assistance in developing a lawn management plan. https://extension.okstate.edu/county/tulsa/
