I have an ash tree which has had canopy thining. The tree has been treated and it looks the same this year as last so there is no further damage. My question is if it is possible for the tree to rebound and have a thicker canopy like before? The tree looks healthy other than a thinner canopy. Thanks

Expert Response
Good question and all the rain we have had is really going to help the tree replace its canopy. Depending on the treatment the tree will have to be treated again in 2-3 years so a thinner canopy is going to be cyclical. Treating before symptoms is a real benefit. Infected trees can be saved with treatment but they don’t recover fully.
