Evergreen huckleberry #871107

Asked June 01, 2024, 10:35 PM EDT

Can you tell me what is wrong with this huckleberry plant? The leaves have both white spots are dark spots. This plant has been in its location for two years with no change in the water or sunlight it received. There has been a healthy patch of pacific bleeding heart which I wondered if it was blocking airflow or sunlight so iv3 trimmed that cave. What’s wrong and how can u restore it to good health? Thanks

Expert Response

The leaf spots with purple margins and ash gray centers could be due to several different fungi. Most of these leaf spotting fungi are encouraged by wet leaves for extended periods of time. Also, they hide out in the infected leaf debris under the plant.
