Hi there,
I used a standard 2-4-D weed killer for some weeds in my lawn. It appears as the prickly lettuce has died, but has left a black corpse in it's place. Should I leave this, or do I need to do something about removing it? There is a large portion of the lawn covered in this.

Hello!
Ideally you would want to remove the dead weed but it is mostly an aesthetic choice.
Since you have quite a bit you can just mow the lawn low, a few times, until it cuts out the dead plant and the grass fills in.
