I have a rose bush that is over 20 years old. It is small because it needed severe pruning of dead stalks two years ago. This spring, it is growing, but something is eating its leaves. What can I do!

Expert Response
We can't positively ID the pest without seeing it, but from the appearance of the damage, it is likely a roseslug sawfly. I'm including two articles that discuss treatment, and show photos of the pest so that you know what to look for. Make sure to positively identify the pest before applying any sprays or treatments.
