Hello,
I have a young grape vine that I planted last year. This season started off well, but within the past couple of days, the leaves have started drying up and dying. Photos are included. The leaves do not have any spotting and no signs of pests can be found. I live in Northwest Michigan and I have sandy loam soil.
Thank you for your help.

It looks like some frost event. Did you get any temperature around 30F recently?
No, we have not had any below freezing nights recently. It has been in the 40s, maybe a couple of high 30 degree nights for quite a while. I will say that we had a very unseasonably warm spring early on, and since the temperatures have moderated. Perhaps the early heat with the now cooler temperatures has stressed the plant?
Thank you!

t is possible that the vines were damaged during the winter, affecting the small trunks due to low temperatures. The early spring bud break, driven by the vines' reserves, might not have been sufficient to promote shoot growth because the vascular system in the small trunks was damaged.
My suggestion is to avoid taking any action right now. Instead, hope that some buds will push out in other parts of the trunks. Once this happens, prune back to the closest surviving bud to the ground.
