I would like recommendations for small or dwarf shrubs/bushes or for SW Ohio location. The spot gets no morning sun, but steady sun from noon to evening. Would like to have blooms at some point in the season. Would like the max size to be not much more than 3' x 3'. This location gets plenty of rain (unless we have drought!!) and drains well. This bed is in front of our house. I hope I have given you enough information. I have been gardening a long time, I need some new ideas! Thanks so much.

Here's a list of shrubs for you to consider. Since you're looking for some new ideas, these are not very common and may take a little searching; in other words, shop at a local nursery and not a big box store. Look for dwarf varieties, or be prepared to do some pruning to keep them to the size you want. All of them will flower at some point.
