I’m trying to identify this plant. Wasn’t there last year so I’m not sure what it is. Thank you

Hi,

This is Canada goldenrod. It is a native plant and an important plant for pollinators in late July and August. See this page:

Goldenrod is often blamed for allergies, but people confuse it with ragweed. Here’s a page on that:
