Hello- we planted red raspberries last spring in a 25 ft. row along the south facing wall of our house. The vines are growing very well with lush foliage and a lot of primacanes (sic). the problem is with the fruit, it seems like it is underdeveloped for this time of year. I attached a photo that may help.

Expert Response
It can be caused by incomplete pollination, a sudden change in temperature and inconsistent watering. If the weather is cold, wet and windy the bees do not fly and this affects pollination. High temperatures can also affect fruit formation, and if the plant dries out at any stage, fruit quality will be affected.
