Peach Tree Disease? #870575

Asked May 29, 2024, 11:52 AM EDT

Hello. Our peach tree has shriveled leaves, now all of them turning black. The complete tree is infected. We sprayed them dormant with garlic and neem oil. Last year the tree did alright but had bugs eat away leaves and some of the fruit. Any help on how to proceed and help the tree would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,

Peach Leaf Curl is a very common issue this year. We had great conditions for it this spring. At this point, we cannot cure already infected leaves. The best way to manage this issue is to spray lime sulphur or copper after the leaves fall around October or before budbreak next March. https://www.canr.msu.edu/news/treat_peach_leaf_curl_now
