Bug on my tomato leaves #870432

Have a bug that is eating on my tomato plants. They are devouring the leaves. Never have seen this bug before.

Thanks for your question. What an interesting-looking insect!

I believe you're seeing mottled tortoise beetles. The damage to the leaves is probably cosmetic. Keep doing other things to care for your tomato plants, and if you see these insects pluck them off or blast them off with water from a hose.
