I was sold this plant 4 or 5 years ago as a ninebark shrub. It sure looks like a chestnut tree to me! Can you confirm this? If so, I need to move it as it’s too close to the foundation. Any tips on that besides dig a bit hole?

Hi Sandy,
This looks like a horse chestnut tree.

It is a beautiful tree with wonderful flowers! They do produce spiky fruits that drop into the yard.
If you decide to keep it (I would!!) they you will certainly have to move it to a new location as the tree has a spreading branch pattern.
Below is a link to a simple guide to planting a tree.

Be sure to call MIss Dig first - and plant this tree as far from any overhead wires as possible.
Feel free to reach out with any questions!
Thank you,
-Julie
