It looks like you have raspberry patch growing near you.
They are wonderful fruit but do need management. They will travel and take over a large area if you let them. If you are interested in harvesing the fruit, you will probably want to manage them in rows so that they are accessible.
The roots run about 12 inches deep so be aware of that if you are trying to rein them in.

They are difficult to manage because they have very deep roots. You don’t say how large this area is but mowing it will keep the plants from photosynthesizing and eventually weaken them. You could use a weed eater or hedge trimmer. You will want to prune them all the way to the ground.
Otherwise you can dig them out but that is major work.
