Brown lines on rose leaves #870337

Asked May 27, 2024, 8:58 PM EDT

Hi. I just noticed the leaves all over my thriving huge Lady of Shallot have odd brown lines on the leaves. These appear on top only and don't seem to cause anything on the under side. It's on every leaf in varying densities. It's in full sun snd has recently been treated with 3-in-1 systemic "stuff". It's full of buds ready to open and leaves look full also. I'm attaching 2 pix.. one if upper and underside of leaves and a close up. It's nothing I've seen in 30 years of growing roses. Thanks for the help.

Thank you for your question.  The streaking is consistent with the fungal black spot symptoms pictured here:  https://solvepestproblems.oregonstate.edu/plant-problems/roses/black-spot

Your fungicide application may have occurred after the spores had already set up house on the leaves.  Try earlier next year.  Good luck!
