Painting my house #870308

Asked May 27, 2024, 4:33 PM EDT

At the highest gable peak there are several years of open celled paper wasp nests. I would like to remove them, but didn't count to know if there is a new one yet. Also, if one is inhabited, is there any difference from the wasp's point of view between knocking it down, and using poison? If I don't see activity, can I knock down a new nest safely? Thanks1

Thank you for reaching out to ask2.extension.

If you go to extension.umn.edu and search for wasps and bees, the article will give you advice on how to deal with paper wasps.  You need to scroll down the article and click on the area for appear wasps.

I hope this helps.
