Hello! I am desperately in need of help/advice. I just discovered my roses are infected with RRV. I am devastated and at a loss what to do? I have about 12-15 roses bushes in my front yard, all about to bloom. Some look weird, scrawny. I am a senior citizen and can’t possibly dig them out. I am 89 and 5’. Can you help with what I should do nd how soon?
Thank you!

Expert Response
Hello Dorothy...based on the photos you sent, I wouldn't necessarily conclude that your roses have RRV, as there are other issues that could produce a similar appearance. What I would recommend is that you bring some samples of your plants into the CSU Extension office in Longmont - we have diagnosticians here who will be able to identify what the problem is. Take care, Mark, CMG.
I’ve already set up an account. When are you going to assist me?
Dorothy

Hi Dorothy,
I just responded to your other post. I hope that extra information is helpful to you.
Have you already brought a sample in to verify that the roses do have RRD? Samples can be brought into the office for diagnosis 8-4:30, Monday through Friday. The diagnostician will look at the sample under a microscope to verify that what's affecting the roses is RRD. Our volunteers are staffing the in-office Help Desk on Monday and Thursday. You can also call:<personal data hidden> with your questions.
The address is for dropping off a sample is 9595 Nelson Rd. Longmont, CO 80501
Please let me know if you have further questions,
