My strawberry rhubarb stalks have red spots and streaks. What causes this and is it still good to eat?

I am assuming you have Canada Red Rhubarb in your garden. it's hard to say what, but you probably have some insect eating on it.

It is still fine for you to eat, even when blemished. Do not eat the leaves, they are toxic.
