Hi there, I planted a new orchard on my property in Bitely, mi and wanted advice on pesticides. The leaves are all full of holes, and some trees have no leaves at all, help?

Several caterpillars such as fruitworm could feed on the leaves. Without knowing the tree or photos of the damage, I can't recommend a particular insecticide. It's normal for feeding to occur on leaves, and trees can survive a degree of defoliation.

If the tree hasn't leafed out, it might not be alive. Scratch the bark to see if there is any green material beneath. If there's no green and it didnt leaf out, there must have been an issue relating to root rot or the soil that caused the tree to die.
