Black Hawthorn #870094

I planted a Black Hawthorn tree two years ago and it never looks like it is thriving. I put it in dry soil. Is it drought tolerant, or did I make a mistake by putting it there? Thanks.

Hi Jim:

Black hawthorn will tolerate drought conditions once established. It will need a regular watering schedule until then. I've attached an article with additional information for you including habitat preferences...
