Hello,
Well you have me rather stumped. I don't often see problems with yews. This does not look like a newly planted one.... the problem is not bad but, monitor it. Trim out the yellow branches. How long have these been in the ground ? Is it possible that the soil doesn't drain very well ? Are you on bedrock under the soil or near a water stream or pond ?
Let me know if the yellowing continues. It may stop when the weather heats up. This is a mystery so far.

Hi again,
I have just been informed by another Master Gardner experienced with growing yews and he said it's very normal for aging yews to develop some yellow needles. They will shed these older needles, just part of the plants life cycle.
