My dog is killing my peonies! #870064

I have made a terrible mistake! I failed to transplant my peonies earlier this year, and now I have a bit of heartbreak on my hands. Long story short, my dogs are now using the back yard because I turned my entire front yard into a vegetable garden. (Thats a whole different story) Everything is going well, considering, however- I DIDN'T MOVE MY PEONIES!!! As a result, my Fezzik is peeing on them. A lot. They are actively dying, just terrible urine scald. I know you should transplant in the Spring, or Fall, but... Should I try tp transplant now, and get them out of immediate danger? Hope for the best? i am totally okay with sacrificing blooms for this year and next. I think there is hope, but not if they stay where they are. And no, there is no way I can protect them where they are from the beast that is Fezzik.
I appreciate your time and help.
I can promise you will hear more from me, as I have more questions about the trials and tribulations of a first year garden, that started as a desolate, barren patch of grass lawn.
Long live the pollinators! Down with the damn cutworms!

P.S. I have attached a picture of the poor innocent peony. I have also attached a photo of the accused. Fezzik, said perpetrator, the big black and white doofus on the left. His perfect sister, Valerie is next to him

Thank you for your question, Cathryn. You really don't have a choice about transplanting if you want to save your peonies, and placing a barrier around them to keep Fezzik out isn't feasible. Here is a brief guide to peony care: https://mbgna.umich.edu/peony-care-calendar
