My hubby believes the picture that i took is from an exoskeleton but neither of us recall ever seeing anything like it. I hope the pictures are helpful, I don’t know if I dare move it as I am unsure if it will fall apart. It is a creepy-looking thing and if we are correct, I must do a better job with my perimeter spray. If you have any recommendations on that, as well, id love to hear them. Thank you for any help you can provide!

I think it is part of an exoskeleton too, but there isn’t enough of it to identify. In all likelihood it is from a harmless creature with a role to play in a healthy ecosystem. Diversity is a big predictor and a key component of a healthy yard. Selectively killing pests as they appear spares all the beneficial insects that feed birds, eat dead foliage, maintain healthy soil, recycle nutrients, pollinate flowers and crops, and control pests.
