Beauty of Moscow lilac #870017

Hello, I purchased what I thought was the Beauty of Moscow lilac last year but the bloom is purple instead of white. I did quite a bit of research before deciding on this particular lilac and everything I read showed a white bloom. Can you tell by the bloom what type of lilac I have? Thank you.
