Invasive weeds overtaking garden - what can be done? #869610

Asked May 22, 2024, 12:42 PM EDT

We've got invasive weeds overtaking our garden. Each year it seems to be getting worse. I have no idea how to deal with the situation. We try pulling them out, but before long, they are back again. Do I need to rip up the garden, apply Roundup, then start over again in the fall? The 3 photos...1) a pic of how they are taking over, 2) a close-up of one of the weeds in question, and 3) a pic of weeds overtaking one of our ferns.

Sorry this is Creeping Bellflower, a very invasive weed that spreads by underground roots. These web pages describe it and possible treatments. Good Luck! I battle this weed also.
