Expert Response
The tuberose is a plant for an iffy zone 7 and zones 8-12. In Michigan it is an annual that must. The rhizomes must be dug up in the fall and kept warm and dry out.
The tuberose is like a succulent and needs a loose sandy soil that drains well. It is a native plant of Mexico(used ot grow them when we lived in Texas).
The plant may be planted in a pot or in the ground with the above described soil.
