We have an evergreen tree in our yard. It's a "mantis" style. Has developed some spores, or fungus, this year. See attached photos. Any idea what they are? Thanks!

Hello, those are lichens. The are not a problem and only live on the surface of the bark. They don't penetrate the bark and are not parasitic. I would not be concerned. The tree looks great. It is a type of Cedrus or true cedar. I'm not sure the species, but it may be a Blue Atlas Cedar.
