Property Tree management #869231

Asked May 20, 2024, 11:23 AM EDT

Hello: We are looking for professional help with property tree management. We live in South Salem, Oregon. We have about 10 very large Douglas Firs in our "Parklike" setting. Our neighborhood has a number of Douglas Firs. We would like to have some professional advice on the safety of these very large trees, and the health of them. We have had professional tree organizations come out, but they mostly just want to remove them. Which may be the right thing to do, but if we do remove them we want to do so responsibly. Is this something you can help us with?

Expert Response

Greetings,

Thank you for reaching out. We recommend that you work with a certified arborist to assess the health of the trees and for removal services as needed.  Were the professionals you had out certified?

If you go to the PNW International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) website you can do a search for ISA certified arborist in your region. Here is the website link: https://www.treesaregood.org/findanarborist/findanarborist

Unfortunately we are not able to conduct assessment site visits for this purpose.
