Plant Identication Assistance #869186

Hello - The attached photo depicts a plant with an elongated, cobra-like stem that has popped up this Spring in a bed from which my Black-Eyed Susan's normally emerge (I can see the BES's sprouting beneath this new plant). I have been unable to identify the plant and don't want to yank it out if a great surprise is in store. Any help identifying it and advice would be gratefully received. Thank you!

That is a plant called Crow-dipper (Pinellia ternata) and you are going to want to yank it... well, remove it carefully so that you get the corms too.
It is non-native and is problematic in some areas as this post from our Maryland Grows blog shows:
