Hi, we are growing cauliflower and brussel sprouts in these images. They are being destroyed by somethinf but we cannot seem to determine what. One photo has something on the leaf, maybe fecal matter? Any help is appreciated.

While caterpillars can do this you would likely see them.
The prime culprits are snails and slugs, which feed at night or during drizzly, overcast days, like we've had recently.
The edge of the leaf in your third photo looks like it might be the glazy-looking, sometimes iridescent slime trails they leave behind.
Here is our page on them:

You can go out at night with a flashlight and look for them.

Christine,
You nailed it! Thank you. I went out there as the sun came up and migrated over 50 into the forest by our house. I plan to set up some deterrents like copper wire this weekend. Thanks again for your help!
