Roses/deer #869111

Soon as my roses begin to bloom the deer decide to eat them. How can I prevent this?

Expert Response

There are 2 ways to prevent deer damage to plants.  Put a cage about 6 feet tall around the plants and/or use a deer repellent such as plantskyyd, deer off, etc.  Please search on the internet to get suggestions.  The problem with repellents are - they have to be reapplied after rains and after a few days of heat (they vaporize away in heat).  But they do work.
Good luck, I've been fighting this battle against mice on hooves for 30+ years!
