Hi we found this in our backyard in Eugene. Can you tell us what kind of cicada it is?

Hi Brittany- I am finding nothing in Oregon bug books or online that matches your cicada! I suggest you send it to the Oregon State Plant Clinic. The following site will tell you where to send it and how to package it. I'm really looking forward to finding out what it is if you feel like getting back to me!

Hi,
Unfortunately I don't have the cicada. I just took the pic of it. If I see another one I will capture and send it!

Hi again Brittany- I did find this video of a cicada that looks a lot like yours. Unfortunately, unless the wings change color later, I can't find any information that lets me think this Teneral Cicada of the Neotibicen genus actually lives in Oregon. Cool video though!
