If you are open to plants that are not necessarily Colorado Native plants but do well in our climate/region look at Plant Select https://plantselect.org/
In the middle of the home page hit Search right plant right space. This is a search engine that will make suggestions based on your requirements.
I am partial to all Sedums which are fairly controlled and come in a variaty of shapes, colors and sizes. They require little water and maintenance. Do an internet search for sedum images to see examples.
