Bumble bees in sprinkler system's valve box #868953

Asked May 17, 2024, 7:03 PM EDT

There's a bumble bee (as opposed to honey bee) nest in my sprinkler system valve box, and the maintenance guy won't work on the valves until the bees are gone. So I have to get rid of the bees. Any suggestions for how to do it?

Tricky issue. These bees are typically very gentle unless you directly disturb them. They also naturally die out by the end of the summer. Since you have to disturb them now in order to get the work done, I would suggest hiring a pest control operator to remove them.
