Boxwood blight? #868919

Asked May 17, 2024, 3:02 PM EDT

Hello, I have 12 boxwoods around the perimeter of my patio. I've had these approximately 5 years with no issue. I do not wrap them up during winter, and never had an problems. There are lot of brown leaves on them now (see pics) and I am concerned they may have Boxwood Blight. Can you tell from the pictures? Also, I can bring in a sample if you would like to see it in person. Another thing I wanted to mention is that I have noticed some red nat size flying bugs around them. I am not sure if this is causing this issue either. Please advise as I do not want to loose these! Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

They may request that you submit samples to their lab. Give them any details you have about when you first noticed the issues and how widespread it is.

Please email the pest ID lab directly at <personal data hidden>

The pest ID lab is separate from the Ask Extension system. They have a physical lab and may ask for samples to be mailed in.
