Was found in a bag of dirt or mulch purchased at Home Depot. Can you please Identify for me what it is? It reacted when it was touched. We covered it back up in dirt and it is still alive. Please advise.

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, I am unable to identify this animal from the pictures you've provided. My best guess is that it might be a very deformed hedgehog. Please contact your local animal control and request that they collect it as quickly as possible.
