Peach leaf fungus #868800

Asked May 16, 2024, 7:51 PM EDT

I asked a question before (#0137915) and was told to send more information and photos so I now uploaded more photos below.  I have 1 peach tree, planted last Spring, and is a semi-dwarf tree whose leaves are shedding.  I sprayed it with copper in Feb, sulfur in March, copper in April and in May.  When the shedding started, I sprayed it with Neem oil.  The shedding has decreased, but the leaves are getting more and more distorted.

OK, that helps a lot. Your images are showing necrotic spots on leaves that eventually drop out leaving holes in the leaf blade. They seem to be randomly distributed on the tree with older leaves possibly more affected than the newer leaves. I will tentative give this a diagnosis of shothole disease. You can read more about this here: https://pnwhandbooks.org/plantdisease/host-disease/peach-prunus-persica-shothole

Your peach tree is doing remarkable well as I see no leaf curl on the tree. You may have selected a curl resistant tree which is good. Shothole is still an issue for many trees. Your copper applications helped a lot but the sulfur may have let some of the fungus slip through your defenses. Stop spraying the neem oil as it will not do anything once these fungi are already in the leaf. Keep up the good work overall.
