Where can I get soil tested?

Boulder County Colorado

Expert Response

Hi David,

You can choose from among several labs to have your soil tested for nutrients, chemical properties like pH, and organic matter content.

The Colorado State University soil lab is located in central Denver, at the CSU Spur campus.

Prices for a general garden soil test (S1 or S2 on the sheet) are $30-$40.  You could mail or deliver a sample by hand.

Many other excellent labs are options, though, and are listed in a table at the end of this fact sheet:

I hope this is helpful!

Cordially,

John
