Linden tree leaves are droopy &have small holes in them #868760

Asked May 16, 2024, 4:21 PM EDT

Olanted a Mongolian Linden "Harvest Gold" last year in our S. Mpls backyard. Greene up nicely this spring but now the leaves have small holes in them and are droopy. Soil seems moist & dont see any bugs. Any ideas what is wrong? Thanks

Good Morning Mark,

Thank you for contacting the U of M Extension Service.

Please click on the following link about linden trees: https://www.uky.edu/hort/American-Linden

From viewing your photos, your tree appears to be healthy. Here is another link about leaf spots on trees: https://extension.umn.edu/plant-diseases/leaf-spot-diseases-trees-and-shrubs

I would monitor the tree as the summer progresses.

Good Luck!
