Proper depth to plant potatoes. #868743

What depth do I plant seed potatoes. I will dig a trench and I see recommended planting depths of 1"- 4", 2"-3", 4" - 6", 6'-8", 8" -, 9" and all the way up to 10" - 12",

You can plant your seed potatoes at about a 5 inch depth.
