Expert Response

This looks like Oriental False Hawkweed (Youngia japonica), a non-native species that seems to have become a lot weedier in recent years, and which is considered invasive in other states. As an annual, it will probably be easy to manually remove (at the very least, cut the flower stalks off so they don't produce more seed), but to prevent seedlings from reappearing in the future, covering any bare soil with 2-3 inches of mulch or a living groundcover planting will help suppress regrowth.
