Apple tree care #868732

Asked May 16, 2024, 2:11 PM EDT

I need a qualified person to help with bug larvae control on my Honeycrisp tree. I have a bumper crop of blooms this year and I expect the same with the apples. It will be a bug and wasp haven. Is there someone that has a safe spray that will help out? Its a large mature tree so difficult to do as a homeowner without proper equipment. Thank you.

Expert Response

An arborist can do this or they may have a local referral.  Also a local orchard supply company may have a referral.  They may also recommend thinning the early apples to promote a better bigger apple.  Local orchards may have staff willing to do it but be aware that they are all somewhat under staffed and looking for workers.
