Sorry I’m so perplexed I’m pretty sure I planted something here like a lilac or azela but this grew up it’s about 6ft tall now…any idea what it is should I pull it is it a tree? So perplexed wondering if something grew in the same spot and killed what I originally planted? I do not think it flowers but can’t remember 100%

Even after consulting some peer master gardeners I have not been able to positively identify your shrub. It could be a lilac, however, it is odd it does not have blooms. Lilacs bloom on old growth. If you did any late season pruning that could explain not having blooms. Lilac shrubs also require sun, if there is less than 4 hours of sun there will likely not be blooms.
Another option could be a a wahoo. This identifying feature of this tree is the small 'fruit' that turns bright red in the fall. Below is a link with more information about a wahoo shrub.
