Expert Response

I'm not able to identify what kind of caterpillar it is. There is not a specialist caterpillar of gladiolus, and there are multiple species that could feed on the foliage. They are still small enough that an application of BT (kurstaki strain) should kill any on the plant. While feeding by caterpillars can cause cosmetic damage to the leaves, it will not kill the plant.
